We looked at the abstract art of Wassily Kandinsky and learned how the artist had a condition called synesthesia in the sound-colour form which allowed him to hear how his paintings sounded. The children also learned about the very famous Antoni Gaudi. We looked at examples of his architecture around Barcelona - Sagrada Familia, Park Guell, Casa Battlo to name but a few - and we focused in on the gorgeous mosaic patterns that have become synonymous with the artist.
